Brvnara i ZiDana Majstorović (rentaj_tracak_raja) is on the slopes of Crni Vrh, just 1,100 m from the centre, in a holiday-home settlement surrounded by family cottages, magnificent pines, birches and quiet. Built with love and patience by a family of six, these houses now open their doors to new faces and future friends, offering a heartfelt welcome and the feeling of staying in a warm family home. They have a long tradition of family gatherings, visits from friends, patron-saint celebration lunches and unforgettable times together. In that spirit, they welcome you with heart and soul.
When we asked people who know us to describe us, so that we could introduce ourselves as faithfully as possible to future guests, they said:
'Far more important than what you do is how you do it. Everything you touch becomes a magical blend of ease, simplicity and beauty. That is how you build every relationship: with work, with people, with your pets, with nature, and with these houses too!' People often ask us how we manage it.
We are women, mothers and daughters who believe that life itself is a great wonder, so we treasure everything it brings. We give generously of our time, attention, love and joy to everyone and everything we have chosen along the way. Asked how we do it, our answer is simple: we believe everything should be clear, clean, meaningful and simple, and woven through with love, just like life itself.
If there is a place where all this comes easily, it is Maljen. This mountain is often overshadowed by Divčibare, the settlement nestled within it. In western Serbia, it belongs to the Valjevo Mountains, among the final massifs of the Dinaric mountain system. In 2021 the area was protected under the name Maljen as a natural asset of regional, or great, importance, in protection category II as a landscape of outstanding features. Four nature reserves have been established on Maljen: Crna reka, Čalački potok, Zabalac and Vražji vir. Walking and cycling trails lead into the mountain to viewpoints, streams, springs, extraordinary trees and breathtaking views, even for those of us who live on Maljen and have the privilege of enjoying it every day.
